SONDBY COTTAGE

Sondby cottage is located on the southern tip of Porvoo in Eastern Uusimaa. The distance between the sea and the lake is just one kilometer. If you come to the cottage by boat, a berth has been reserved in Skeppars guest harbor.

The area has many small lakes, cliffs and nature in all its beauty. The buildings have been constructed to blend in with the surroundings and are located discreetly amongst the trees.

The cottage land has a lot of buildings. The observation tower in the main building is visible from a distance and you can see a long way from it! The main house has a well equipped kitchen, dining room, one living room, three bedrooms and one alcove. In addition, there is a washing room with a toilet, shower and laundry facilities. The building has a fireplaces and flat screen TV. The main building has beds for seven. At the front of the building there is a terrace with two tables and chairs for ten. The terrace has a gas barbecue at your disposal.

The guest cottage is a small additional building on the land. The guest cottage has one double sofa bed and one double bed for overnight stays. The small kitchen has a water faucet, microwave and refrigerator. The guest cottage also has a fireplace and working wood-burning stove. Next to the guest cottage there is an outdoor barbecue area and a table. The flag pole is also next to the guest cottage.

The sauna building on the shore of the small lake. The sauna building has, of course, a traditional wood sauna where you can certainly enjoy the heat!

In front of the sauna there is a hot tub. The hot tub is large enough for up to 6 bathers at one time. You can have a pleasant dip in the warm waters of the lake from the hot tub. Water for the hot tub comes from the sauna with a hose and for wood for heating is available from the woodshed.

There is an island in the lake on the property that you can access by a bridge. At the other end of the island there is also a bridge which takes you back to the “mainland” and it is here that a real Indian tent “teepee” is waiting for you! It’s here that you will be able to enjoy some cozy barbecue moments.

In this area there is also a swing and a dart board.

In the Area

Mainbuilding and guesthouse , a sighttower, sauna in the front of a bond and woodburning hottub, woodshed, parking area. Authentic teepee, a rowboat and dartboard.

Kitchen

In the mainbuilding: oven and stove top, microwave oven, coffeemaker, electric kettle, toaster, refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher. Tablewear for seven.  Highchair and babycot.
In the guesthouse: microwave oven, refrigerator. Tablewear for four.

Washrooms and toilets

In the mainbuilding has a shower room with one shower and toilet in same room. There is also a washing machine.

Sauna

A traditional woodburning sauna beside the bond, fits 8-10 persons. A dressing room. Hottub fits 6 people.

Lounge areas

In the mainbuilding is a open and spacious floor plan with kitchen, dining and living area. There is a fireplace and 50″ tv, two leather sofas. Air conditoner and free wifi. In the guesthouse has a small living room. Guest house has free wifi.

Bedrooms

In the mainbuilding has three bedrooms with two separate 80×200 beds in two of them and in one is one single bed. Bedrooms has dressing stand with a mirror, room for clothes and a reading lights. There is also a small alcove with doublebed. The guesthouse has one doublebed and sofabed for two.

Cleaning equipments and detergents can be found in the cottage.
